Reaction of 5,10,15,20-tetraphenyl-2-aza-21-carbaporphyrinatonickel(II) with dihalomethanes in the presence of a proton scavenger gives a 2,21'-CH2-linked dimer of Ni(II) inverted porphyrins with the yield reaching 90% and its 2,2'-linked isomer as a minor product.

Since its conceptualization, click chemistry in all its variants has proven to be a superior synthesis protocol, compared to conventional methods, for forming new covalent bonds under mild conditions, orthogonally, and with high yields. If a term like reactive resilience could be established, click reactions would be good examples, as they perform better under increasingly challenging conditions. Particularly, highly hindered couplings that perform poorly with conventional chemistry protocols-such as those used to conjugate biomacromolecules (e.

Covalent adaptable networks (CANs), a novel class of crosslinked polymers with dynamic covalent bonds, have gained significant attention for combining the durability of thermosets with the reprocessability of thermoplastics, making them promising for emerging applications. Here, we report the first example of poly[2]rotaxane-type CANs (PRCANs), in which oligo[2]rotaxane backbones characterized by densely packed mechanical bonds, are cross-linked through dynamic C-N bond. Oligo[2]rotaxane backbones could guarantee the mechanical properties of CANs.

ConspectusThe emergence of two-dimensional (2D) materials, such as graphene, transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), and hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN), has sparked significant interest due to their unique physicochemical, optical, electrical, and mechanical properties. Furthermore, their atomically thin nature enables mechanical flexibility, high sensitivity, and simple integration onto flexible substrates, such as paper and plastic. The surface chemistry of a nanomaterial determines many of its properties, such as its chemical and catalytic activity.

Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) improve survival of patients with mature B-cell malignancies. Fcγ-receptor dependent effector mechanisms kill tumor cells but can promote antigen loss through trogocytosis, contributing to treatment failures. Cell-bound mAbs trigger the complement cascade to deposit C3 activation fragments and lyse cells.

The term "undruggable" refers to proteins or other biological targets that have been historically challenging to target with conventional drugs or therapeutic strategies because of their structural, functional, or dynamic properties. Drugging such undruggable targets is essential to develop new therapies for diseases where current treatment options are limited or nonexistent. Thus, investigating methods to achieve such drugging is an important challenge in medicinal chemistry.
