Objective: Scleroderma-associated autoantibodies (SSc-Abs) are specific in participants (pts) with systemic sclerosis and are associated with organ involvement. Our objective was to assess the influence of baseline SSc-Abs on the trajectories of the clinical outcome assessments (COAs) in a phase III randomized controlled trial.
Methods: We used data on both the groups who received placebo (Pbo) and tocilizumab from the focuSSced trial.

Background And Objective: Radiation-induced cystitis (RIC) is an important consequence of pelvic radiotherapy that can cause high morbidity and, in extreme cases, mortality. The lack of a widely accepted classification system makes it difficult to compare treatment regimens. Our aim was to develop a new classification system covering the RIC spectrum to improve treatment comparisons and accurate incidence estimates for systematic use in clinical and research settings.

Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is a clinical manifestation of various underlying causes, characterized by the combination of clinical and imaging findings associated with the posterior cerebral areas and relating to arterial hypertension and endothelial dysfunction. No association was made so far between PRES and McCune-Albright syndrome (MAS), a rare genetic disorder resulting in fibrous dysplasia. A 33-year-old female with MAS was presented to the emergency department of the 417 Army Share Fund Hospital in Athens (Greece) after seizure activity with two episodes of ocular upward deviation and transient facial palsy, each lasting a few minutes, followed by a postictal phase.

Bernard-Soulier syndrome (BSS) is a rare qualitative condition of platelets wherein deficiency of platelet surface glycoproteins (GP) Ib, IX, and V forms the Ib-IX-V complex, leading to impaired hemostasis. Although it commonly presents as prolonged bleeding in general, women in the reproductive phase report additional complications during menstruation, pregnancy, and childbirth. In women of reproductive age, menorrhagia is a frequent complaint.
