Acute pulmonary embolism (PE) is a significant cause of cardiac arrests, with subsequent high mortality worldwide. Early recognition of acute PE allows earlier diagnosis, stabilization, and risk stratification, which are crucial in deciding the most adequate treatment option. However, diagnosis is sometimes difficult due to nonspecific clinical presentation.

Foot tuberculosis is rarely reported in the literature, with most tuberculosis of the foot being an uncommon manifestation of skeletal tuberculosis. Early diagnosis and timely medical and surgical intervention can significantly reduce morbidity. Cystic cuboid adenomatous malformations (CCAM) are congenital pulmonary lesions, usually benign, that can progress into malignancy. Bronchopulmonary sequestration (BPS) is another type of malformation that consistsof an ectopic pulmonary tissue mass that doesn't participate in blood-gas exchanges, with vascularization provided by anomalous branches of the thoracic aorta. Hybrid lesions are lesions that have histological features of CCAM but with systemic vascularization, a pathognomonic sign of BPS.

Cases with central nervous system tumors represent a small amount of all tumors, and the diagnosis of high-grade gliomas (HGGs) is mostly difficult as they frequently show intratumoral morphological heterogeneity. Genetic factors, such as single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), have an important role in modifying glioma susceptibility. We conducted a comprehensive meta-analysis to investigate the ERCC1 (rs3212986), ERCC2 (rs13181), XRCC1 (rs25487), and XRCC3 (rs861539) genes to see if they are any risk factors for glioma susceptibility.
