: Gastrointestinal diseases are a major cause of morbidity in common variable immunodeficiency disorder (CVID), clinically often mimicking other conditions including celiac disease and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Hence, diagnosis of CVID remains challenging. This study aims to raise awareness and highlight histopathological clues for CVID in intestinal biopsies, emphasizing diagnostic pitfalls for the pathologist/gastroenterologist.

Graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) is less common in autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) recipients than in allogeneic SCT recipients. However, some cases of severe GVHD, especially involving the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, have been documented. We present a patient with primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) exhibiting severe GI-GVHD after ASCT with busulfan/thiotepa conditioning.

Thymoma-associated multiorgan autoimmunity (TAMA) is a rare paraneoplastic disorder that presents similarly to graft versus host disease (GVHD). We report a unique case of TAMA presenting as a GVHD-like erythroderma in an elderly male with a history of benign thymoma. Cutaneous histopathological findings demonstrated vacuolar interface dermatitis with numerous dyskeratotic keratinocytes, exocytosis of lymphocytes, and a mildly acanthotic epidermis, which can be seen in several different disease processes.

Acquired circumscribed hyperpigmented patches and plaques have various differential diagnoses, including post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and mycosis fungoides (MF). Leukomelanoderma is an uncommon cutaneous condition in which the pathogenesis is not fully elucidated. It has been reported that leukomelanoderma occurs after allergic contact dermatitis from hydroquinone or acute cutaneous graft-versus-host disease (1,2).
