François Leroy de la Faudignére was the founder of the family. Although he was not an expert in dentistry, he acquired a good reputation of dentist in the second half of the 18th century. He published some books between 1766 and 1780. He lived in Paris and set up in 1780 at the Pavillon Royal, Plave Royale no1 (Place des Vosges nowadays). He was mainly busy with selling an approved analgesic elixir of his own. Out of his 5 children, 2 have been experts in dentistry and one of his daughters, Marie Marianne Françoise, married Jacques René Duval, Maître en Chirurgie. François died six weeks after his daughter's marriage but her brothers sued her about the elixir their father had bequeathed to her. She won her case and carried on selling the elixir with Duval. Her daughter married Jean Nicolas Marjolin, a famous surgeon. Their son René Nicolas became a surgeon too.

The U4 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) forms a duplex with the U6 snRNA and, together with U5 and ∼30 proteins, is part of the U4/U6.U5 tri-snRNP complex, located at the core of the major spliceosome. Recently, recurrent variants in the U4 RNA, transcribed from the gene, and in at least two other genes were discovered to cause neurodevelopmental disorder.

Introduction: Group Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), an evidence-based treatment of depression recommended by the WHO mhGAP Intervention Guide, was implemented through a task-shifting approach in Senegal, as a treatment for depressed people living with HIV (PLWH). Since a description of the resources used and the implementation costs incurred is necessary to inform policymakers better, this study aimed to estimate the costs associated with its implementation.
Methods: Intervention costs were analyzed using an "ingredients-based costing approach" from the provider's perspective.

Translational neuroimaging techniques are needed to address the impact of opioid tolerance on brain function and quantitatively monitor the impaired neuropharmacological response to opioids at the CNS level. A multiparametric PET study was conducted in rats. Rats received morphine daily to induce tolerance (15 mg/kg/day for 5 days), followed by 2-day withdrawal.

Social inequality impacts health, is aggravated by the consequences of climate change, and may be influenced by inappropriate policy responses. These interdependent effects create a self-perpetuating loop exacerbating the impact of climate dysregulation on health in an uncontrolled and poorly understood way. Holistic approaches to public health such as One Health, EcoHealth or Planetary Health are well suited to tackling the considerable and complex environmental and social issues underlying climate dysregulation.
