The Alkbh7 protein, a member of the Alkylation B (AlkB) family of dioxygenases, plays a crucial role in epigenetic regulation of cellular metabolism. This paper focuses on the NMR backbone resonance assignment of Alkbh7, a fundamental step in understanding its three-dimensional structure and dynamic behavior at the atomic level. Herein, we report the backbone H, N, C chemical shift assignment of the full-length human Alkbh7.

The reduction of CO mediated by transition metals has garnered significant interest, yet little is known about the reduction of CO using f-element compounds. Herein, the reduction of CO to CO by tetravalent uranium (U) compound UO is investigated via matrix isolation infrared spectroscopy and quantum chemical study. Our results reveal that a stable carbonate intermediate OUCO () can be prepared at low temperatures (4-12 K).

Apolipoprotein E (APOE) is distributed across various human tissues and plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism. Recent investigations have uncovered an additional facet of APOE's functionality, revealing its role in host defense against bacterial infections. To assess the antibacterial attributes of APOE3 and APOE4, we conducted antibacterial assays using P.

Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) has emerged as a promising technology for neutralizing microbes, including multidrug-resistant strains. This study investigates CAP's potential as an alternative to traditional antimicrobial drugs for microbial inactivation. In the era of increasing antimicrobial resistance, there is a persistent need for alternative antimicrobial strategies.

This study investigates the functionalization of gold-coated magnetoelastic sensors with thionine molecules, focusing on resonance frequency shifts. The functionalization process was characterized by using Raman spectroscopy and analyzed via scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy, revealing the progressive formation of molecular clusters over time. Our results demonstrate that longer functionalization time leads to saturation of surface coverage and cluster formation, impacting the sensor's resonance frequency shifts.
