Background: Continent catheterizable channels (CCC) are a mainstay for reconstruction in patients with neurogenic bladders. Common complications include false passage, channel stenosis/difficult catheterization, channel incontinence, and stomal stenosis. This may result in the need for surgical revision or replacement.

With an increasingly aging population, both end-stage renal disease and peripheral artery disease become more prevalent. Peripheral artery disease is increasingly treated with endovascular procedures. Endovascular stenting of the external iliac artery (EIA) is often considered a contraindication for kidney transplantation, as clamping of the artery could result in possible injuring of the stent.

Introduction: Refractory malignant ascites (RMA) is a manifestation of end-stage cancer disease with a major impact on quality of life due to the symptom burden and need for repeated hospitalisations. We previously described the implantation of the permanent PleurX catheter as a treatment of RMA. The present study aimed to evaluate and describe our experience with the permanent PleurX catheter system in the largest cohort to date.

Penile prosthesis (PP) implantation is feasible as an outpatient surgery. The present study describes the surgical process and establishes a consensus for improving the care circuit for outpatient PP implantation in Spain. A working group composed of a scientific committee with extensive experience in PP implantation and representatives of important scientific societies reached a consensus about the recommendations for outpatient PP implantation.
