Solid phase synthesis (SPS) is a powerful technique to assemble compound libraries in high-throughput parallel and combinatorial synthesis. The widespread applications of these techniques required the development of analytical methods for both structural elucidation and reaction monitoring. This review covers some recently developed techniques for on-bead analyses together with solution-state ones. Particular emphasis is devoted to software and hardware improvements for automated high-throughput analysis.

Protein glycosylation, the covalent attachment of carbohydrate, or glycan, structures onto the protein backbone, is one of the most complex and heterogeneous post-translational modifications (PTMs). Extracellular protein glycosylation, in particular N- and mucin-type O-glycosylation, plays pivotal roles in a number of biophysical and biochemical processes, such as protein folding and stability, cell adhesion, signaling, and protection. As such, aberrant glycosylation is implicated in a variety of diseases, including cancer.

Understanding the molecular, cellular, and physiological components of neurodegenerative diseases (NDs) is paramount for developing accurate diagnostics and efficacious therapies. However, the complexity of ND pathology and the limitations associated with conventional analytical methods undermine research. Fortunately, microfluidic technology can facilitate discoveries through improved biomarker quantification, brain organoid culture, and small animal model manipulation.

This study explores variations in groundwater (GW) pH, conductivity, ammonium, iron, and manganese parameters to reveal prospective interactions having an impact on the dissolved metal concentrations. To this end, bivariate and partial correlation procedures were applied to the data to obtain incisive evaluation. Besides characterisation efforts, photocatalytic iron and manganese removal experiments were also carried out with Ni-doped TiO nano-composite thin films (TFs) on real GW samples.

Background: The challenges associated with traditional drug screening, such as high costs and long screening times, have led to an increase in the use of single-cell isolation technologies. Small sample volumes are required for high-throughput, cell-based assays to reduce assay costs and enable rapid sample processing. Using microfluidic chips, single-cell analysis can be conducted more effectively, requiring fewer reagents and maintaining biocompatibility.
