Catheterization of the urinary bladder of rats and mice is necessary for a variety of clinical and experimental reasons. The anatomy of the female mouse and rat is unique in that the urinary orifice is external and just anterior to the vaginal opening. This characteristic makes the bladder of these species easier to catheterize than that of other species. Methods cited in the literature do not adequately describe techniques that facilitate ease of urinary bladder catheterization (1). We describe a simple technique for urinary catheterization in adult female mice and rats.

Introduction And Hypothesis: Overactive bladder (OAB) affects 11-17% of the female population. First-line treatment with lifestyle modifications and second-line therapy with medications are often limited by inadequate efficacy or pharmacological side effects. This study was aimed at assessing the effect of 100 U onabotulinumtoxin A treatment on idiopathic OAB (iOAB) as a second-line treatment.

Objective: To compare health-related quality of life (HRQOL) in patients undergoing radical cystectomy with ileal conduit (RC) or bladder preservation (BP) with (chemo)radiotherapy for bladder cancer.
Methods And Analysis: Patients with bladder cancer, stage cT1-T4, cN0-N1, M0 with a minimum follow-up of 6 months from curative treatment (RC or BP) and without disease were eligible for inclusion. Two HRQOL instruments were administered: Bladder Cancer Index (BCI) for bladder cancer-specific HRQOL and European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire (EORTC QLQ-C30).
Pembrolizumab is a monoclonal antibody directed against the programmed cell death-1 (PD1) receptor, which binds to PD1 receptors on T lymphocytes and blocks their inactivation by tumor cells. Pembrolizumab is not free from side effects, a rare one of which is hypocorticism. Here we present a patient with pembrolizumab-induced hypocorticism manifested by a cerebrovascular event.

Acute studies in experimental animals showed a low order of toxicity for MTMS via oral, dermal, and inhalation routes. MTMS was slightly irritating to both eyes and skin in rabbits.

Background: The progression of bladder cancer (BC) from non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) to muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) significantly increases disease severity. Although the tumor microenvironment (TME) plays a pivotal role in this process, the heterogeneity of tumor cells and TME components remains underexplored.
Methods: We characterized the transcriptomes of single cells from 11 BC samples, including 4 NMIBC, 4 MIBC, and 3 adjacent normal tissues.
