Objective: This systematic review delves into the nuanced landscape of buccal bifurcation cysts (BBCs), emphasizing their clinical significance amid the diagnostic challenges in oral and maxillofacial pathology. We trace the evolution of BBC classification from historical perspectives to its current status in the World Health Organization's classification system, aiming to equip dental professionals with crucial insights for accurate diagnosis and effective management.
Methods: This systematic review (PROSPERO: CRD42023405169) followed PRISMA guidelines to examine the epidemiological characteristics of BBCs.

Dynamic variables contribute to understand the mechanics of pedalling and can assist with injury prevention. Measuring pedal forces and joint moments and powers has a high cost, which can be mitigated by using trained artificial neural networks (ANN) to predict forces from kinematics. Thus, this study aimed at training and validating recurrent ANN to predict 3D pedal forces, lower limb joint moments and powers from lower limb kinematics.

In hyperuricaemic populations, multiple factors may contribute to impaired renal function. This study aimed to establish a machine learning-based model to identify characteristic factors related to renal impairment in hyperuricaemic patients, determine dose‒response relationships, and facilitate early intervention strategies. Data were collected through the big data platform of Nanjing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, encompassing 2,705 patients with hyperuricaemia (1,577 with renal impairment, 828 without) from June 2019 to June 2022.

Background: Between 30 and 50 % of all medication errors may be attributable to inadequate pharmacy staffing. Potentially understaffed pharmacies have garnered national media attention and fostered workforce crises. As such, Boards of Pharmacy (BOPs) have codified laws requiring pharmacists to document inadequate staffing events.

While this is well documented for civilian medicine, there is a paucity of research in the military prehospital environment (MPE). We analyzed four cases of miscommunication in the MPE: during a casualty handoff, within a team during a tactical medical operation, between a medic and a doctor during a mass casualty event, and in a helicopter while caring for a casualty.
