The construction industry is generally characterized by high emissions, making its transition to low-carbon practices essential for achieving a low-carbon economy. However, due to information asymmetry, there remains a gap in research regarding the strategic interactions and reward/punishment mechanisms between governments and firms throughout this transition. This paper addresses this gap by investigating probabilistic and static reward and punishment evolutionary games.

Honey bees usually produce particular sound when they are exposed to air pollution. Based on this principle, we create a citizen science platform to monitor Agricultural Nonpoint Source Pollution (ANSP) based on beehive sounds. Here we show the basic functions of the platform, and illustrate its workflow: sampling and uploading data by beekeepers, automated detection of target compounds from beehive sound recordings, and the outcome of which can be analysed with respect to the motivating management objective.

The objective of the present work was to prepare hybrid epoxy composites with improved mechanical and thermal properties. The simultaneous use of two different modifiers in an epoxy resin was motivated by the expected occurrence of synergistic effects on the performance properties of the matrix. Such a hybrid composite can be used in more severe conditions and/or in broader application areas.

Motivation: Investigating novel drug-target interactions is crucial for expanding the chemical space of emerging therapeutic targets in human diseases. Herein, we explored the interactions of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 and protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B with selected terpenoids from African antidiabetic plants.
Results: Using molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations, molecular mechanics with generalized Born and surface area solvation-free energy, and density functional theory analyses, the study revealed dipeptidyl peptidase-4 as a promising target.
