This study, carried out at three different university centers contributes to validating the valence dimension of the CCRT-method. Working on the state of the CCRT-research on affective evaluation of relationship narratives, the connection between the valence dimension of the responses from others (RO), responses of the self (RS) and the severity of the psychic disorder has been analysed with the help of two different samples (n = 266 resp. n = 32) taken from female patients. Both, therapists as well as patients themselves, evaluated the severity of the impairment similarly. The more the patients were impaired, the more negatively they describes both their own reactions and those of their interaction partners as shown in the relationship episodes.

Mental illness, affecting one in eight people worldwide, is often exacerbated by stigma-which can result in self-stigmatization, isolation, and loneliness and negatively impact access to health care, education, and social connection. Previous research has found that stigma is best reduced through a combination of education about the stigmatized population and intentional contact with individuals from that population. Studies also note the benefits of community-based, culturally-relevant interventions and cultural experiences such as live music.

The rapidly increasing number of elderly people in the world highlights the need for the development of innovative foods with modified textures that do not expose the elderly to the risks associated with food consumption (risk of aspiration, suffocation, and chocking). Providing specific food such as edible gel for the elderly population and the study of their properties is a challenge for the scientific community. There are some available gels in the supermarkets destined for the sports population, with specific texture and technological properties that could be used and extrapolated for senior people.

This study investigates how interpersonal (speaker-partner) synchrony contributes to empathetic response generation in communication scenarios. To perform this investigation, we propose a model that incorporates multimodal directional (positive and negative) interpersonal synchrony, operationalized using the cosine similarity measure, into empathetic response generation. We evaluate how incorporating specific synchrony affects the generated responses at the language and empathy levels.
