In Periodic Paralysis (PP), a rare inherited condition caused by mutation in skeletal muscle ion channels, the phenotype changes with age, transitioning from the episodic attacks of weakness that give the condition its name, to a more degenerative phenotype of permanent progressive weakness and myopathy. This leads to disability and reduced quality of life. Neither the cause of this phenotype transition, nor why it occurs around the age of 40 is known.

The studies conducted in this contribution are based on the analysis of the dynamics of a homogeneous network of five inertial neurons of the Hopfield type to which a unidirectional ring coupling topology is applied. The coupling is achieved by perturbing the next neuron's amplitude with a signal proportional to the previous one. The system consists of ten coupled ODEs, and the investigations carried out have allowed us to highlight several unusual and rarely related dynamics, hence the importance of emphasizing them.

Background: Recent studies have explored layered correction strategies, employing a slice-by-slice approach to mitigate the prominent limited-view artifacts present in reconstructed images from high-pitch helical CT scans. However, challenges persist in determining the angles, quantity, and sequencing of slices.

Objective: This study aims to explore the optimal slicing method for high pitch helical scanning 3D reconstruction.
