Clarifying the inceptive pathophysiology of hypertensive heart disease helps to impede the disease progression. Through coarctation of the infrarenal abdominal aorta (AA), we induced hypertension in minipigs and evaluated physiological reactions and morpho-functional changes of the heart. Moderate aortic coarctation was achieved with approximately 30 mmHg systolic pressure gradient in minipigs.

Ultrahigh Selectivity HS Gas Sensor Based CsPbBr Perovskites via Pb-S Bonding Interaction.

ACS Sens

January 2025

State Key Laboratory of Materials Processing and Die Mould Technology, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), No. 1037, Luoyu Road, Wuhan 430074, P. R. China.

High selectivity and sensitivity sensing of HS gas play a decisive role in the early detection of sulfide solid-state battery failure. Herein, we construct the CsPbBr perovskite-based sensor that exhibits outstanding gas-sensing performance to HS at room temperature, including high selectivity, fast response/recovery speed (73.5/275.

Association of Arachidonic Acid Metabolism Related Genes With Endometrial Immune Microenvironment and Oxidative Stress in Coupes With Recurrent Implantation Failure.

Am J Reprod Immunol

January 2025

State Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine and Offspring Health, Center for Reproductive Medicine, Institute of Women, Children and Reproductive Health, Shandong University, Jinan, Shandong, China.

Background: Alterations in lipid metabolism were reported to impact human fertility; however, there is limited evidence on the association of lipid metabolism with embryo implantation as well as the etiology of recurrent implantation failure (RIF), especially regarding arachidonic acid metabolism.

Methods: Experimental verification research (16 RIF patients and 30 control patients) based on GEO database analysis (24 RIF patients and 24 control patients). The methods in bioinformatics included differential gene screening, functional enrichment analysis, protein-protein interaction network, cluster analysis, weighted gene co-expression network analysis, and so forth.

typically causes mild respiratory infections but can rarely lead to severe complications. We report a case of a 43-year-old immunocompetent male who presented with progressive dyspnea and respiratory failure with bilateral pulmonary infiltrates, refractory to outpatient treatment with azithromycin, ceftriaxone, and levofloxacin. Bronchoscopy revealed multiple white plaques in the trachea and diffuse alveolar hemorrhage.

Background: The WHO malaria treatment guidelines recommend a total dose in the range of 3·5 to 7·0 mg/kg of primaquine to eliminate ( ) hypnozoites and prevent relapses. There are however indications that for tropical isolates, notably from Southeast Asia, the lower dose of 3·5 mg/kg is insufficient. Determining the most effective regimen to eliminate hypnozoites is needed to achieve elimination of this malaria parasite.
