Both title compounds, C(30)H(33)BrN(2)O(3) and C(23)H(27)BrN(2)O(2), respectively, are brominated derivatives of the potent opioid cis-beta-hydroxy-3-methylfentanyl (ohmefentanyl). Ohmefentanyl has three asymmetric C atoms and, therefore, has eight possible stereoisomers. The absolute configurations of the title compounds were determined to assign the proper configuration of two of these stereoisomers and the compounds have the same stereochemistry at two of the three asymmetric C atoms.

In a systematic study, six pseudopolymorphic coordination polymers containing the ditopic 1,3-di(pyridin-4-yl)urea ligand (4bpu) constructed with d metal cations, possessing the formula {[M(4bpu)I]S} [(M = Zn, Cd and Hg), (S = MeOH or EtOH)], namely Zn-MeOH, Zn-EtOH, Cd-MeOH, Cd-EtOH, Hg- and Hg-EtOH were obtained. The title compounds were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis (SC-XRD), elemental analysis (CHN), FT-IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD). The diffraction studies show that these compounds are isostructural 1D zig-zag chain coordination polymers which is also confirmed using XPac 2.

Introduction: Effects of Dapagliflozin (Dapa) and Dapagliflozin-Saxagliptin combination (Combo) was examined on peripheral blood derived CD34 + Hematopoetic Stem Cells (HSCs) as a cellular CVD biomarker. Both Dapa (a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 or SGLT2, receptor inhibitor) and Saxagliptin (a Di-peptydl-peptidase-4 or DPP4 enzyme inhibitor) are commonly used type 2 diabetes mellitus or T2DM medications, however the benefit of using the combination has not been evaluated for cardio-renal risk assessment, in a real-life practice setting, compared to a placebo.

Hypothesis: We hypothesized that Dapa will improve the outcomes when compared to placebo and the Combo maybe even more beneficial.

Considering our previous experience in the design of new cholinesterase inhibitors, especially resveratrol analogs, in this research, the basic stilbene skeleton was used as a structural unit for new carbamates designed as potentially highly selective butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) inhibitors with excellent absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicity ADMET properties. The inhibitory activity of newly prepared carbamates - was tested toward the enzymes acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and BChE. In the tested group of compounds, the leading inhibitors were and , which achieved excellent selective inhibitory activity for BChE with IC values of 0.

This study presents an efficient and environmentally sustainable synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles using a starch-mediated sol-gel approach. This method yields crystalline mesoporous ZnO NPs with a hexagonal wurtzite structure. The synthesized nanoparticles demonstrated remarkable multifunctionality across three critical applications.
