Objective: Obesity is a major risk factor for osteoarthritis (OA). Adipose tissues may be linked to OA development through secretion of potential proinflammatory cytokines including neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL). Our objective was to assess changes in serum NGAL after a low-calorie diet (LCD) and subsequent glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonist (GLP-1 RA) treatment.

Purpose: This study aims to explore the role of the non-luminal disease score (NOLUS) for everolimus in patients with hormone receptor-positive and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HR+/HER2-) advanced breast cancer (ABC).
Methods: NOLUS has previously been established as an algorithm: NOLUS (0-100) = - 0.45 × ER(%) - 0.

Li-Fraumeni syndrome is a cancer predisposition syndrome caused by pathogenic TP53 germline variants and associated with a high lifelong cancer risk. We analysed the German LFS registry that contains data on 304 individuals. Cancer phenotypes were correlated with variants grouped according to their ability to transactivate target genes in a yeast assay using a traditional (non-functional, partially-functional) and a novel (clusters A, B, C) classification of variants into different groups.

Background: Specific genetic variants in the ATP-binding cassette transporter A7 locus (ABCA7) are associated with an increased risk of Alzheimer's disease (AD). ABCA7 transports lipids from/across cell membranes, regulates Aβ peptide processing and clearance, and modulates microglial and T-cell functions to maintain immune homeostasis in the brain. During AD pathogenesis, neuroinflammation is one of the key mechanisms involved.

Background And Aims: Maternal diet and health may influence a child's later neurodevelopment. We investigated the effect of maternal diet, adiposity, gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), and depressive/anxiety symptoms during pregnancy on the child's motor outcome at 5-6 years.
Methods: The motor performance of 159 children of women with overweight or obesity (pre-pregnancy body mass index 25-29.
