Article Abstract
Between November 1992 and July 1999, a total of 27 fractures and 1 non-union, including 15 tibias, 8 femurs, and 5 humeri in geriatric patients were treated using Marchetti-Vicenzi bundle nail internal fixation. Reaming of the medullary canal was never used in any of the fractures, while it was used in the case of non-union. The results suggest that flexible intramedullary nailing provides adequate stability and is responsible for earlier weight-bearing, facilitating bone healing and early functional recovery in the elderly patient. Automatic distal locking allows for a reduction in the amount of time required for surgery.

Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect of titanium locking plate combined with suture anchor (SA) repair in the treatment of proximal humeral fractures (PHF).
Methods: This retrospective study was conducted by analyzing the clinical data of 113 patients with PHF admitted to Wuhan Fourth Hospital from March 2021 to October 2023. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of supra-inguinal fascia iliaca compartment block (S-FICB) in patients undergoing proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA) internal fixation surgery for intertrochanteric fracture (ITF).
Methods: Retrospective analysis of 95 patients with ITF undergoing PFNA internal fixation surgery in the First People's Hospital of Yong Kang from March 2021 to August 2023 was performed. Among them, 49 patients received general anesthesia (GA; GA group) and 46 patients received S-FICB combined with general anesthesia (S-FICB group).
