Achalasia is a rare esophageal motility disorder characterized by incomplete lower esophageal sphincter (LES) relaxation, increased LES tone, and absent peristalsis in the esophagus. Management of achalasia includes pneumatic dilation (PD), Botulinum toxin A (BTA) injections to LES, per oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM), and a laparoscopic Heller myotomy (LHM). Situs inversus is a rare congenital condition in which the abdominal and thoracic organs are located in a mirror image of the normal position in the sagittal plane.

Background: Type 2 isolated dextrogastria in conjunction with protrusion of the right hemidiaphragm and hiatal hernia is an uncommon anomaly among all transpositions of the viscera. Clear diagnosis is not straightforward in such cases both clinically and with various imaging techniques leaving often only laparotomy for diagnosis.
Case Presentation: Here, we discuss the case of a so far asymptomatic 19-year-old male, who had a 3-month history of abdominal pain and 2 days of vomiting with absolute constipation, and reduced air entry in the base of the right lung.

Aim: Antenatal detection of right-sided stomach (dextrogastria) is rare, and its significance in regards to intestinal rotation is unclear. We aimed to review all cases of antenatally-diagnosed dextrogastria in our regional fetal medicine unit over 10years.
Methods: A retrospective case-note review of patients identified from a prospectively-maintained database was performed.

We report eventration of the right hemidiaphragm with isolated asymptomatic dextrogastria in a newborn. The diagnosis of this rare association could not be made clinically or by various imaging techniques. The final diagnosis could only be ascertained at laparotomy.
