Research Background: One of the issues in the production of fish sauce is the legal constraints on the concentration of histamine produced by bacteria during fermentation because it causes allergic reactions in humans. The goal of this study is therefore to eliminate histamine from the final product after fermentation to enhance the quality of fish sauce for consumer safety, manufacturer exportability and domestic sales.
Experimental Approach: The bacteria that grow in the histamine medium were isolated from the salted fish.

Objectives: To investigate the therapeutic effect of Bicalutamide, an androgen receptor antagonist on the onset and development of allergic rhinitis in an animal model.
Methods: 40 male BALB/c mice were randomly divided into five groups (eight mice per group). Aluminum hydroxide powder was used as an adjuvant, combined with Ovalbumin (OVA) to establish the mouse model of allergic rhinitis via ultrasonic nebulization of OVA to stimulate the nasal cavity.

Previous studies comparing risk of fracture among Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) users with that among non-users were susceptible to confounding by indication. Epidemiologic studies of this association using an active medication as a comparator would appropriately address this bias. We conducted a propensity-score matched cohort study to compare the risk of incident fracture over five years among initiators of PPIs with initiators of histamine 2 receptor antagonist (H2RA) using data collected from The Health Improvement Network (THIN) database in the United Kingdom (2000-2016).

Background And Objective: Vertigo derived from peripheral vestibular disorders is quite frequently encountered in daily clinical practice and can be a severely disabling symptom associated with substantial impairment of health-related quality of life for the affected patients. Betahistine, a structural analogue of histamine and presumably the most widely prescribed anti-vertigo drug worldwide, has previously been shown to be an effective and safe treatment for these patients. The objective of the present study was to evaluate whether the fixed combination of cinnarizine and dimenhydrinate (Arlevert) is non-inferior and thus a potentially useful alternative to betahistine dihydrochloride in the treatment of patients suffering from peripheral vestibular vertigo.
