Freezing extends the shelf life of foods but often leads to structural damage due to ice crystal formation, negatively impacting quality attributes. Oscillating magnetic field (OMF)-assisted supercooling has emerged as a potential technique to overcome these limitations by inhibiting ice nucleation and maintaining foods in a supercooled state. Despite its potential, the effectiveness and underlying mechanisms of OMF-assisted supercooling remain subjects of debate.

Edible coating (EC) can reduce excessive oil absorption in deep-fat fried food products. Ultrasound is an efficient pretreatment to preserve the quality characteristics of fried samples. The impact of guar gum based EC and sonication on the quality parameters of fried zucchini slices was investigated.

Background: Cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy often compromise fertility by damaging gonadal function, creating a critical need for fertility preservation options. Despite advancements in fertility preservation techniques, there is a significant lack of research focused on their application in Asian cancer patients and their utilisation remains underexplored in this population.
Aim: This study aims to evaluate the utilisation rates and outcomes of cryopreserved gametes in cancer patients who underwent fertility preservation before their cancer treatment.

Background: Dabrafenib plus trametinib (Dab + Tram) is an approved targeted therapy in patients with mutated metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Here, we report the efficacy, safety, and quality of life (QoL) results of Dab + Tram treatment in Chinese patients with mutation-positive metastatic NSCLC.
Methods: This is a single-arm, open-label, multicentre, phase II study (NCT04452877).

Background: Dry eye disease (DED) is a multifactorial condition characterized by ocular surface inflammation, tear film instability, and corneal epithelial damage. Current treatments often provide temporary relief without addressing the underlying inflammatory mechanisms.
Objectives: This study examined the therapeutic potential of crocin and nobiletin, two naturally derived compounds with well-known antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, in a mouse model of DED induced by lacrimal gland excision (LGE).
