Objectives: The pathogenesis of premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) not only affects the ovarian structure and function but also gives rise to complications such as osteoporosis and dyslipidemia. Although low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) has been proven effective in treating POI, its impact on the associated complications remains unexplored. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effects of LIPUS irradiation on osteoporosis and dyslipidemia in a mouse model of POI.

Over the past decade, the systems-based multi-omic approaches employed by the Accelerating Medicines Partnership in AD (AMP-AD) have resulted in the identification of promising peripheral markers of disease heterogeneity. This scientific review will highlight these advances with a particular focus on the consortium's successes in peripheral protein biomarker discovery in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma.

The search for reliable prognostic markers in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) remains a critical need. Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs), particularly T lymphocytes, play a pivotal role in the immune response against tumors and are strongly correlated with favorable prognoses. Computational pathology has proven highly effective for histopathological image analysis, automating tasks such as cell detection, classification, and segmentation.

Microphysiological systems (MPS) are complex in vitro tools that incorporate cells derived from various healthy or disease-state human or animal tissues and organs. While MPS have limitations, including a lack of globally harmonized guidelines for standardization, they have already proven impactful in certain areas of drug development. Further research and regulatory acceptance of MPS will contribute to making them even more effective tools in the future.
