This article analyses how people who identify with psychiatric diagnoses in England and Wales make sense of and talk about their experiences of sexual violence. I examine how interview participants engaged with the hegemonic trauma discourse, as well as the consequences of this for meaning-making, affective pain, and the feminist imperative to 'speak out'. The hegemonic trauma discourse is characterised by leaving a psychological 'scar'; is premised on a sudden interruption to a 'good life'; and is considered pathologically unspeakable without intervention.

Purpose: To assess the effects of group therapy focused on the experience of living with prostate cancer (PC) on depression and mental well-being among men with the disease and to explore participant experiences of a guided opportunity to 'speak the unspeakable' as it pertains to living with PC.
Methods: We used a mixed-method convergent design. Participants completed four validated self-report questionnaires at baseline, immediately after the final session, and at three, six, and 12 months follow-up.

It is the very idea, derived from the Romantics, he wrote, that artists are entitled to live outside of morality. Hitler and others unquestionably saw themselves in this way.
