A quadratic cost functional for reconstruction of a high-resolution wave front from a coarse wave front is presented. The functional uses as data the position and the direction of the coarse wave front that had previously been computed with a ray-tracing method. This functional uses an optical relationship between the ray information and the wave front's shape to reconstruct a high-density wave front. The performance of the proposed functional is illustrated by reconstruction of complicated wave fronts for which this functional has an accuracy that is superior to that of conventional interpolation methods.

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic had significant impacts on youth health and well-being. Youth with prior inequities, such as those exposed to child maltreatment, may have experienced greater psychosocial challenges and long-term difficulties than their peers, including sustained interpersonal relationships problems. Given the importance of healthy relationships during adolescence and early adulthood, the significant impact the pandemic had on youth, and the potential disproportionate challenges for youth with a child maltreatment history, the purpose of the present study was to better understand changes in relational conflict among youth with and without a child maltreatment history from the perspectives of youth themselves.

Introduction: This study aims to quantify the shear wave speed (SWS) and stiffness of the uterine cervix (close to the internal cervical ostium (IOC) which is the cranial portion of cervix and close to the external cervical ostium (EOC) which is the caudal portion of cervix), caruncular areas, and vulvar labia during the postpartum period in healthy Kivircik ewes by using shear-wave elastography. Power Doppler ultrasonography was performed to evaluate the color pixel percentage (CPP) of the caruncles.
Methods: The study included 13 healthy pregnant Kivircik ewes, which were randomly selected.

Context: Recent advances in the development of rapid SARS-CoV-2 point of care (POC) testing provided an opportunity to aid clinical decision making in front-line healthcare settings. Perspectives of POC COVID-19 screening of pregnant women are under-researched.
Objective: To assess the impact of a SARS-CoV-2 POC testing platform implemented in a busy maternity hospital, with limited isolation capacity, during the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stress wave dispersion can result in the loss or distortion of critical high-frequency data during high-strain-rate material tests or blast loading experiments. The purpose of this work is to demonstrate the benefits of correcting stress wave dispersion in split-Hopkinson pressure bar experiments under various testing situations. To do this, an innovative computational algorithm, SHPB_Processing.
