The ligands [hydrotris(3-cyclohexylpyrazol-1-yl)borate, [Tp(Cy)](-), tetrakis(3-cyclohexylpyrazol-1-yl)borate, [pz(o)Tp(Cy)](-), and hydrotris(3-cyclohexyl-4-bromopyrazol-1-yl)borate, [Tp(Cy,4Br)](-) were synthesized and characterized as their Tl(I) derivatives. They were converted to a variety of tetrahedral LMX and octahedral LML' complexes, as well as to the dinuclear nickel carbonate complex [Ni(Tp(Cy))](2)(CO(3)), 4, and the compound Ni[Tp(Cy,4Br)][pz(Cy,4Br)](3)(H)(2), 5. The structures of Co[Tp(Cy)]Cl, 1, Co[Tp(Cy,4Br)]Cl, 2, Co[Tp(Cy,4Br)]NCS, 3, [Ni(Tp(Cy))](2)(CO(3)), 4, Ni[Tp(Cy,4Br)][pz(Cy,4Br)](3)(H)(2), 5, and Mo[Tp(Cy)](CO)(2)(eta(3)-methallyl), 6, were determined by X-ray crystallography. The structures of paramagnetic heteroleptic complexes Co[Tp(Cy)][Tp], Co[Tp(Cy)][Tp], Co[Tp(Cy,4Br)][Tp], and Co[Tp(Cy,4Br)][Tp] were established by NMR. The homoleptic compounds Co[Tp(Cy)](2) and Co[Tp(Cy,4Br)](2) rearrange thermally to Co[Tp(Cy)](2) and to Co[Tp((Cy,4Br))](2), respectively, containing one 5-cyclohexyl group/ligand.

Chromium (Cr) is an ever-present abiotic stress that negatively affects crop cultivation and production worldwide. High rhizospheric Cr concentrations inhibit nutrients uptake and their translocation to aboveground parts, thus can affect the growth and development of crop plants. This experiment was designed to evaluate the effects of sole and combined zinc-lysine and iron-lysine applications on photosynthetic efficacy, antioxidative defense, oxidative stress, and nutrient uptake and translocation under Cr stress.

1D Covalent Organic Frameworks with Tunable Dual-Cobalt Synergistic Sites for Efficient CO Photoreduction.

Macromol Rapid Commun

December 2024

Key Laboratory of Synthetic and Biological Colloids, Ministry of Education, School of Chemical and Material Engineering, Jiangnan University, Wuxi, 214122, China.

Diatomic catalysts enhance photocatalytic CO reduction through synergistic effects. However, precisely regulating the distance between two catalytic centers to achieve synergistic catalysis poses significant challenges. In this study, a series of one-dimensional (1D) covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are designed with adjustable micropores to facilitate efficient CO photoreduction.

The biological production of lipids presents a sustainable method for generating fuels and chemicals. Recognized as safe and enhanced by advanced synthetic biology and metabolic engineering tools, yeasts are becoming versatile hosts for industrial applications. However, lipids accumulate predominantly as triacylglycerides in yeasts, which are suboptimal for industrial uses.

A new prediction model based on deep learning for pig house environment.

Sci Rep

December 2024

School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Qiqihar University, Qiqihar, 161006, China.

A prediction model of the pig house environment based on Bayesian optimization (BO), squeeze and excitation block (SE), convolutional neural network (CNN) and gated recurrent unit (GRU) is proposed to improve the prediction accuracy and animal welfare and take control measures in advance. To ensure the optimal model configuration, the model uses a BO algorithm to fine-tune hyper-parameters, such as the number of GRUs, initial learning rate and L2 normal form regularization factor. The environmental data are fed into the SE-CNN block, which extracts the local features of the data through convolutional operations.

This paper first conducted a shale injection CO seepage experiment based on an improved single-vessel pressure pulse attenuation method. The experimental results reveal that the evolution pattern of shale permeability with respect to pore pressure can be divided into before and after phase change. The overall trend is that it first decreases and then increases, which is not a simple exponential form.
