Auditory P50 and N100 responses reflect preattentive processing, whereas subsequent mismatch negativity (MMN) response indexes memory-based comparison process. Divergent ERP responses have been found in schizophrenia and in Parkinson's disease (PD), which have abnormalities in cerebral dopamine activity. We used simultaneously magnetoencephalography and electroencephalography to investigate, whether a single dose of haloperidol, a dopamine D2-receptor antagonist, modulates preattentive auditory processing using a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover design. Our results showed that haloperidol did not alter MMN to frequency and duration changes, whereas the magnetic MMN to frequency change was significantly accelerated. The amplitude and latency changes of the electric and magnetic P50 and N100 were insignificant. Our results indicate that memory-based sound comparison and preceding cortical processing underlying stimulus detection are not attenuated by haloperidol, whereas haloperidol appears to accelerate preattentive sound comparison.

A problem extension of the longest common substring (LCS) between two texts is the enumeration of all LCSs given a minimum length (ALCS- ), along with their positions in each text. In bioinformatics, an efficient solution to the ALCS- for very long texts -genomes or metagenomes- can provide useful insights to discover genetic signatures responsible for biological mechanisms. The ALCS- problem has two additional requirements compared to the LCS problem: one is the minimum length , and the other is that all common strings longer than must be reported.

The Kalman filter is an important technique for system state estimation. It requires the exact knowledge of system noise statistics to achieve optimal state estimation. However, in practice, this knowledge is often unknown or inaccurate due to uncertainties and disturbances involved in the dynamic environment, leading to degraded or even divergent filtering solutions.

Background: Low-intensity interventions targeting a range of mental health issues offer a scalable approach for young trauma survivors in low-middle income countries.
Aims: Here, we present results from a proof-of-concept, randomized, waitlist-controlled trial evaluating MemFlex, an autobiographical memory-based intervention, for trauma-exposed Afghan youth residing in Iran. MemFlex seeks to reduce the negative and overgeneral memory biases which maintain and predict poor mental health.

In this paper, the electrothermal coupling model of metal oxide resistive random access memory (RRAM) is analyzed by using a 2D axisymmetrical structure in COMSOL Multiphysics simulation software. The RRAM structure is a Ti/HfO/ZrO/Pt bilayer structure, and the SET and RESET processes of Ti/HfO/ZrO/Pt are verified and analyzed. It is found that the width and thickness of CF1 (the conductive filament of the HfO layer), CF2 (the conductive filament of the ZrO layer), and resistive dielectric layers affect the electrical performance of the device.

Unsupervised domain adaptation (UDA) is to make predictions on unlabeled target domain by learning the knowledge from a label-rich source domain. In practice, existing UDA approaches mainly focus on minimizing the discrepancy between different domains by mini-batch training, where only a few instances are accessible at each iteration. Due to the randomness of sampling, such a batch-level alignment pattern is unstable and may lead to misalignment.
