The relationship between fibromyalgia (FM) and allergic diseases remains poorly understood, despite emerging evidence that suggests a possible association. This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of allergic comorbidities in patients with FM compared with a matched control group. We conducted a retrospective, population-based case-control study within Leumit Health Services, which caters to ∼750,000 members.

The skin is a large and sophisticated organ populated by innate and adaptive immune effector cells. These immune cells provide a critical first line of defense against pathogens, but genetic and environmental factors can lead to inappropriate signaling that may manifest as hypersensitivity. The most common cutaneous allergic disorders in children include atopic dermatitis, urticaria/angioedema, and contact dermatitis.

Background: Contact allergens typically trigger localised reactions, but systemic Type I hypersensitivity from skin contact reactions are rare.
Case Presentation: We present the case of a 69-year-old non-atopic male who developed anaphylaxis following the application of moisturizer to an area of chemical burns. Skin testing showed a strong positive result to moisturizer.

Background: Exposure to hairs of caterpillars and moths are collectively termed as lepidopterism. Clinical manifestations include cutaneous presentation of localized stinging reaction with wheals or vesiculation, acute urticarial papules and plaques, ophthalmic, oropharyngeal involvement to severe life-threatening anaphylactic reactions with angioedema.
Aims: In this study we have determined the prevalence of various cutaneous, oropharyngeal and ophthalmic manifestations of lepidopterism at a tertiary health care center.

Background: Angioedema is a condition marked by sudden, intense swelling of the subcutaneous and submucosal tissues, typically associated with hypersensitivity reactions, genetic mutations, or reactions to medications. It can also result from contact with allergens such as nickel, leading to dermatitis.
Case Presentation: A 12-year-old girl presented at our Pediatric Immunology and Allergology service with recurrent labial angioedema for over a year, linked to the consumption of legumes and tomatoes, and following the use of a metal flute.
