Childhood leukemia accounts for 30% of all pediatric cancer cases with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) being the most common subtype. Involvement of the gut microbiome in ALL development has recently garnered interest due to an increasing recognition of the key contribution the microbiome plays in maintaining the immune system's homeostatic balance. Commensal gut microbiota provide a first line of defense against different pathogens and gut microbiome immaturity has been implicated in ALL pathogenesis.

Background: Ferroptosis is a cell death mode caused by excessive accumulation of lipid peroxides caused by disturbance of intracellular metabolic pathway, which is closely related to iron and cholesterol metabolism homeostasis. Its regulation within the hypoxic metabolic tumor microenvironment (TME) has the potential to improve the effectiveness of tumor immunotherapy. The predictive role of ferroptosis in gastric cancer (GC) hypoxia TME, particularly in relation to TME immune cell infiltration, has not been fully explained.

Cuproptosis is a newly discovered mode of cell death, which is caused by excess copper and results in cell death via the mitochondrial pathway. However, the complex tumor microenvironment (TME) is characterized by many factors, including high levels of glutathione and lack O, limit the application of traditional cuproptosis agents in antitumor therapy. Herein, we report a hyaluronic acid modified copper-manganese composite nanomedicine (CMCNs@HA) to remodel the TME and facilitate efficient cuproptosis in tumor.

Nipah virus (NiV) is a lethal zoonotic paramyxovirus that can be transmitted from person to person through the respiratory route. There are currently no licensed vaccines or therapeutics. A lipopeptide-based fusion inhibitor was developed and previously evaluated for efficacy against the NiV-Malaysia strain.

Creatinine is an essential biomarker for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of renal insufficiency. Although fluorescent methods are powerful tools for creatinine detection, almost all reported fluorescent probes rely on short-wavelength excitation and a single fluorescent signal, making them susceptible to environmental and operational conditions. In this study, a near-infrared excited, highly sensitive, and multi-output signal sensing system was established using upconversion nanoparticles and 3,5-dinitrobenzoic acid (DNBA) for synergistic luminescent and colorimetric assay for strong visual detection of creatinine.
