Maternal nutritional status plays a crucial role in embryonic development and has persistent effects on postnatal chicks. Vitamin C (VC) plays an important role in embryonic and postnatal development involved in nutri-epigenetics. The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of feeding (IOF) of VC on embryonic development, egg hatching time, and chick rectal temperature.

Certain lifestyle factors, such as obesity and diet, can also impact the microbiome, which has been implicated in many diseases, such as heart disease and diabetes. Background: Previous studies have suggested that neuromuscular junction (NMJ) denervation plays a critical role in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Repetitive nerve stimulation (RNS) has been used as a technique to test neuromuscular transmission, but the sensitivity and stability of its parameters have not been investigated in patients with ALS. In addition, the impact of impaired homeostasis on NMJ stability in patients with ALS remains unclear.

Background: Prior studies have established correlations between gut microbiota (GM) dysbiosis, circulating metabolite alterations, and gastric cancer (GC) risk. However, the causal nature of these associations remains uncertain.
Methods: We utilized summary data from genome-wide association studies (GWAS) on GM (European, n=8,956), blood metabolites (European, n=120,241; East Asian, n=4,435), and GC (European, n=476,116; East Asian, n=167,122) to perform a bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis, investigating the causal effects of GM and metabolites on GC risk.

Damage caused by oxidative stress generated by radical (type I reaction) and singlet oxygen, O (type II reaction) oxidative reactions may induce cancer.
