Climate change, the overconsumption of fossil fuels, and rapid population and economic growth have collectively driven a growing emphasis on environmental sustainability and the need for effective resource management. Chemicals or materials not currently regulated are known as contaminants of emergent concern (CECs). Nevertheless, wastewater is thought to be its main source, and worries about its probable presence in the environment are growing due to its potential damage to human and environmental health.

Objective: To assess whether individuals reported more side effects and decreased mood after receiving an open-label placebo compared to a control group that received no treatment.
Methods: We randomized participants to receive an open placebo or no treatment. The primary outcome was reported side effects on the Side effect Attribution Scale (SEAS) at 15 min and at 24-h.

Background: A Delphi study was conducted to reach a consensus among international clinical and health care experts on the most important health and functioning self-reported concepts when evaluating a switch from smoking cigarettes to using smoke-free tobacco and/or nicotine products (sf-TNPs).
Objective: The aim of this research was to identify concepts considered important to measure when assessing the health and functioning status of users of tobacco and/or nicotine products.
Methods: Experts (n=105), including health care professionals, researchers, and policy makers, from 26 countries with professional experience and knowledge of sf-TNPs completed a 3-round, adapted Delphi panel.

Purpose: Although the provision of a survivorship care plan (SCP) has been recommended after prostate cancer (PCa) treatment, there have been no randomized controlled trials to examine their impact. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of a tailored PCa-SCP intervention provided to early-stage PCa survivors.
Materials And Methods: A prospective, parallel 1:1 randomized controlled trial was conducted at 3 sites across Canada.
