The Sc2.0 global consortium to design and construct a synthetic genome based on the Saccharomyces cerevisiae genome commenced in 2006, comprising 16 synthetic chromosomes and a new-to-nature tRNA neochromosome. In this paper we describe assembly and debugging of the 902,994-bp synthetic Saccharomyces cerevisiae chromosome synXVI of the Sc2.

Mitochondrial long chain fatty acid β-oxidation is a critical central carbon catabolic process. The importance of fatty acid oxidation is made evident by the life-threatening disease associated with diverse inborn errors in the pathway. While inborn errors show multisystemic requirements for fatty acid oxidation, it is not clear from the clinical presentation of these enzyme deficiencies what the tissue specific roles of the pathway are compared to secondary systemic effects.

Although the detection procedure has been shown to be highly effective, there are several obstacles to overcome in the usage of AI-assisted cancer cell detection in clinical settings. These issues stem mostly from the failure to identify the underlying processes. Because AI-assisted diagnosis does not offer a clear decision-making process, doctors are dubious about it.
