Since infections associated with microbial communities threaten human health, research is increasingly focusing on the development of biofilms and strategies to combat them. Bacterial communities may include bacteria of one or several species. Therefore, examining all the microbes and identifying individual community bacteria responsible for the infectious process is important.

Unsafe water has severe implications for human health. Among sanitary wastewater treatment technologies, those that treat effluent in the most natural way possible (avoiding chemicals) need to be employed to minimize environmental damage upon release. Microalgae-based systems are one of the more economical and sustainable methods.

Department Clinics, Reproduction, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Life Sciences (IULS), Iași, Romania.

The research took place on a farm in North-Eastern Romania with Holstein Friesian cows aged between 3 and 9 years. Bacteriological investigations were carried out throughout the year 2023, on a total of 35 cows, including 25 multiparous cows and 10 primiparous cows, 23 cows had eutocic parturitions and 12 cows had dystocic parturitions, during the first 3 weeks postpartum. In the case of dystocic parturition, biological samples yielded isolates including 9.

The design of efficient bacterial inactivation treatment in wastewater is challenging due to its numerous parameters and the complex composition of wastewater. Although solar photochemical processes (PCPs) provide energy-saving benefits, a balance must be maintained between bacterial inactivation efficiency and experimental costs. Predictive decision tools for bacterial inactivation under various conditions would significantly contribute to optimizing PCP design resources.
