Gustatory sweating is a potential manifestation of autonomic dysfunction in diabetes. This syndrome is seen in long-standing diabetes and is associated with nephropathy, peripheral neuropathy, and other signs of dysautonomia. Symptoms of profuse head and neck diaphoresis with eating may suggest this clinical diagnosis. We present a patient who had complicated diabetes with symptoms of gustatory sweating and other evidence of dysautonomia. Diagnosis and treatment possibilities are discussed, with a review of the literature and an emphasis on bedside testing.

Frey syndrome is a late complication after parotidectomy and represents an aberrant regeneration of the auricular nerve after its damage. The degree of manifestation can vary from minor hyperemia to the inability to eat in public places. As it turned out, the etiology of this syndrome is much broader than we might have assumed, as evidenced by the data of domestic and foreign literature.

Background: This study aimed to analyze the effects of anterior descending mandible (ADM) and free superior mesenteric artery (SMAS) folding flaps on post-parotidectomy facial depression.
Methods: This retrospective study examined the effects of sex, age, surgical sample size, method, duration, and blood loss on postoperative complications in 65 patients.
Results: No significant differences involving sex, age, or sample size for surgical resection were observed between the two groups.
