Delirium is a highly prevalent neuropsychiatric syndrome characterised by acute and fluctuating impairments in attention and cognition. Mechanisms driving delirium are poorly understood but it has been suggested that blood cytokines and chemokines cross the blood brain barrier during delirium, directly impairing brain function. It is not known whether these molecules reach higher brain levels when the blood cerebrospinal fluid barrier (BCSFB) is impaired.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a complex neurodegenerative disorder, with amyloid-beta (Aβ) aggregation playing a key role in its pathogenesis. Aβ-induced oxidative stress leads to neuronal damage, mitochondrial dysfunction, and apoptosis, making antioxidative strategies promising for AD treatment. This study investigates the effects of hydrogen-rich water (HRW) in a zebrafish AD model.

-fermented cheese (MC) is a new cheese product that undergoes a multistrain fermentation process, which results in unique flavor qualities. Lipid metabolism plays an important role in the flavor formation of MC. To clarify the lipid composition of MC and the changes in lipid composition at four ripening periods, this study resolved the lipid profiles of MC by using UHPLC-QTRAP MS.
