Limited structural information on Bet v 1 isoallergens and variants prompted us to carry out their in silico structural characterization.

Purpose Of Review: There is an increasing awareness among clinicians that industrial and household food processing methods can increase or decrease the allergenicity of foods. Modification to allergen properties through processing can enable dietary liberations. Reduced allergenicity may also allow for lower risk immunotherapy approaches.

Patients with selective IgA deficiency could have various clinical presentations ranging from asymptomatic to severe respiratory or gastrointestinal tract infection, as well as autoimmune disease and allergic reactions. Selective IgA deficiency is relatively common in Caucasians, but it is rare in the Asian population, meaning it could be easily missed in the clinic. In this study, we report a 26-year-old man with a history of asthma and nephrotic syndrome.

Unlabelled: Kounis syndrome (KS), characterized by the simultaneous occurrence of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and allergic reactions, can be triggered by a range of factors and drugs. We report on the case of a patient who arrived at our emergency department (ED) with symptoms of an allergic reaction after taking moxifloxacin and deflazacort orally. In the ED, the patient experienced a 5-minute episode of oppressive chest pain.

Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) is a disease of immunocompetent patients, and invasive pulmonary aspergillosis is seen in immunocompromised patients. Hence, pulmonary overlap syndrome presenting with ABPA and invasive aspergillosis is extremely rare. We report a case of well-controlled bronchial asthma who presented with acute exacerbation and hypoxaemic respiratory failure.
