Background: Overweight and obesity pose serious health challenges for individuals and societies. This study aims to facilitate personalised treatment of obesity by summarising recent research on weight-loss pharmacotherapies, with a focus on their effects on weight reduction, cardiometabolic health, psychological outcomes, and adverse events.
Methods: This systematic review and meta-analysis included searches of Web of Science, PubMed, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials from inception to June 8, 2024.

Background: The primary objective of this study was to estimate the effective cerebral perfusion pressure (CPPe), critical closing pressure (CrCP), and resistance-area product (RAP) of the intravascular common carotid artery using three different methods. These estimates were then compared to the reference method of linear regression (LR).
Methods: In our previous study, we employed linear regression to evaluate the values of CrCP and RAP.
Background: Both high and declining blood pressure (BP) are associated with cognitive decline risk in older adults. In late-life, women have higher rates of hypertension, experience faster cognitive decline, and represent two-thirds of individuals with Alzheimer's disease dementia. However, sex differences in the association between BP decline and cognitive decline are unknown.

Background: The selection and extent of application for both total adrenalectomy (TA) and partial adrenalectomy (PA) within this surgical approach continue to be matters of debate. This paper compares the postoperative efficacy and functional indicators of PA and TA to provide comprehensive insights for clinicians to consider the best surgical treatment options.
Methods: Systematic review on PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) was conducted.

Blood-brain barrier (BBB) dysfunction is suggested to be a potential mediator between vascular risk factors and cognitive impairment, leading to vascular cognitive impairment. To investigate the relationships between age, sex, and vascular risk factors and BBB water permeability as well as their relationship with cognition. To measure BBB permeability, a novel arterial spin labelling MRI technique (ME-ASL) was applied to derive the time of exchange (Tex), arterial time transit (ATT), and cerebral blood flow (CBF).
