Background: Flow-through flaps (FTFs) are an advanced technique in which a free flap is anastomosed to the pedicle of another free flap to reconstruct extensive head and neck defects when recipient vessels are scarce.
Methods: A multi-institutional cohort of FTFs used for head and neck reconstruction were reviewed. For comparison, FTF outcomes were compared to free flaps that required vein grafts (VG) to reach distant recipient vessels.

Objective: To describe the treatment outcomes of patients who underwent Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty (PTA) for Central Vein Occlusive Disease (CVOD) in end-stage kidney disease and determine the association between patient profile and treatment outcomes.
Methods: A single-institution, retrospective review of patients aged 18 and above with end-stage kidney disease who underwent PTA for CVOD in the University of the Philippines - Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) from January 1, 2013, to December 31, 2022, was performed. These patients' demographic and clinical profiles were evaluated using means, frequencies, and percentages.

Background: Chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) leads to decreased quality of life and increased disease burden, resulting in progressive patient deterioration, limb amputation, and mortality.
Objectives: This study aims to present the outcomes of a Latin American experience using the open distal venous arterialization (DVA) technique for no-option limb salvage in a high volume CLTI center.
Methods: A retrospective case series study was performed including patients from 2018 to 2022 using a population from Bogotá, Colombia.

Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is the leading cause of end-stage renal disease worldwide. Despite advancements in various treatments, the prevalence of DKD continues to rise, leading to a significant increase in the demand for dialysis and kidney transplantation. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of a Small cell+Ultra Potent+Scale UP cell (SMUP-Cell), a type of human umbilical cord blood-derived mesenchymal stem cell, on DKD in the db/db mouse model of type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Background: Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) have been found to promote inflammatory responses and exacerbate tissue damage, as well as to be strongly associated with the development of acute rejection in kidney transplantation. Taking measures against NETs is important for the treatment of acute rejection in kidney transplantation.
Methods: We used the kidney ransplantation acute rejection dataset GSE50058 as a basis for identifying biomarkers associated with the regulation of NETs therein and constructing a diagnostic model using WGCNA and four machine learning algorithms.
