Patients with chronic pancreatitis (CP) as well as with pancreatic head carcinoma (CA) undergo the surgical intervention named "pylorus-preserving pancreatoduodenectomy according to Traverso-Longmire (PPPD)", which allowed a comparative analysis of the postoperative courses.
