Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Xinyikang Oral Liquid (XYK) in treating viral myocarditis patients of Qi-Yin Deficiency and Evil-Toxin Encroaching Heart Type.

Methods: Randomized controlled method was adopted, the 92 cases in the XYK group received XYK and 30 cases in the control group received Qidong Yixin oral liquid treatment for 4 weeks as a therapeutic course. Their symptoms, signs, white blood cell count (WBC), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), lactate, aspartate aminotransferase (AST) dehydrogenase (LDH), creatine phosphokinase (CPK), creatine phosphokinase isoenzyme (CPK-MB), electrocardiogram (ECG) and dynamic ECG changes before and after treatment were observed.

Results: The improvement on chest stuffiness, short breath, fatigue and spontaneous perspiration in the treatment group was better than those in the control group (P < 0.05) and XYK showed obvious improving effect on ESR, AST, LDH, CPK and CPK-MB (P < 0.01 or 0.05). There was no adverse reaction or side-toxic effects revealed in using XYK.

Conclusion: XYK has significant therapeutic effect in treating viral myocarditis.

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) is defined as feeding infants only breast milk of the mother or a wet nurse for the first six months, without additional food or liquids except the oral rehydration solution or drops/syrups of vitamins, minerals or medicines. The working status of women in developed countries adversely affects the EBF rates, which calls for an assessment in rapidly developing countries like India. Therefore, the primary aim of the present study is to determine the prevalence of EBF using the data from the National Family Health Surveys (NFHS 3, 4, 5) conducted between 2005 and 06, 2015-16 and 2019-21 to estimate the likelihood EBF according to mothers' employment status.

Background: The use of liquid biopsy of total cell-free DNA (cfDNA) to identify otherwise undetectable cancers has attracted interest; however, its efficacy remains unknown. We explored whether analysis using total cfDNA is efficacious for Japanese patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC).

Methods: We collected total cfDNA from nine patients with OSCC preoperatively, 1 month postoperatively, and every 3 months thereafter to analyze this association.

Background: Fingolimod is a first-in-class, orally administered drug indicated for the treatment of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. It acts as an immunomodulator, is classified as a "disease-modifying therapy", and its main mechanism of action is the modulation of sphingosine-1-phosphate receptors. In this prospective pilot study, whole blood concentrations of fingolimod and fingolimod phosphate obtained during routine health care were measured.

Introduction: Α customized organ-on-a-chip microfluidic device was developed for dynamic culture of oral mucosa equivalents (Oral_mucosa_chip-OMC).

Materials And Methods: Additive Manufacturing (AM) was performed via stereolithography (SLA) printing. The dimensional accuracy was evaluated via microfocus computed tomography (mCT), the surface characteristics via scanning electron microscopy (SEM), while the mechanical properties via nanoindentation and compression tests.
