Objective: Explores the feasibility of guiding bone tissue regeneration by frozen homologous periosteum.
Methods: Rabbit's cranial periosteum was taken and refrigerated. In thirty-one white Japanese big ear rabbits, defects of the mandible were created. Defect at one side was covered with the membrane, another side not. The rabbits were sacrificed on four, eight, twelve, sixteen weeks. Specimens were examined by naked eye, X-ray, and histology.
Results: The frozen homologous periosteummet the requirement of guiding bone tissue regeneration There was no rejection, and could be kept 8 for 12 weeks in the body. It had the favorable efficacy of obstructing the fiber tissue from filling into bone defects and had an efficacy of guiding bone tissue regeneration.
Conclusions: Frozen homologous periosteum is a perfect guiding bone tissue regeneration membrane.

Objectives: To evaluate the influence of clinical and procedural factors, particularly the thickness of reactive sclerosis, on clinical outcome of MR-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound (MR-HIFU) for the treatment of symptomatic osteoid osteomas (OO) of the extremities.
Materials And Methods: 18 consecutive patients (median age 19.5y) with symptomatic OO of the extremities eligible for MR-HIFU were enrolled in this ongoing prospective study (German Clinical Trials Register; nr.

Imaging-guided percutaneous core needle biopsy (PCNB) is currently the most common technique for the investigation of potentially malignant bone lesions. It allows precise needle placement and better visual guidance, leading to improved diagnostic accuracy. Needle tract seeding (NTS) is a rare complication of biopsies in general, and its true incidence remains unknown.

Vertebral fracture assessment (VFA) images from bone density machines enable the automated machine learning assessment of abdominal aortic calcification (ML-AAC), a marker of cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk. The objective of this study was to describe the risk of a major adverse cardiovascular event (MACE, from linked health records) in patients attending routine bone mineral density (BMD) testing and meeting specific criteria based on age, BMD, height loss, or glucocorticoid use have a VFA in the Manitoba Bone Mineral Density Registry. The cohort included 10 250 individuals (mean 75.

Background: Fractures of the long bones in the lower limbs are injuries that cause severe to extremely severe pain, posing risks to the patient's circulation, respiration, and even life. Pain management for patients with lower limb long bone fractures in the emergency department is critically important.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of ultrasound-guided femoral and sciatic nerve blocks in patients with lower limb long bone fractures in the emergency department (ED).

Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) mobilizes peripheral blood (PB) progenitor cells from bone marrow (BM) into circulation for PB stem cell transplantation (PBSCT). This study aimed to develop a population pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) model of filgrastim in healthy subjects to optimize PB CD34 cell collection. Plasma filgrastim concentrations and CD34 cell count data were obtained from a clinical study involving healthy Korean subjects.
