Introduction: The current standard of care of patients with spondyloarthritis (SpA), in addition to pharmacological treatment, includes regular exercise and patient education.(1) The primary goal of this systematic literature review (SLR) is to update the evidence of the effectiveness of education programs for patients with axial SpA (axSpA).

Methods: We systematically searched three databases, PubMed, Embase and Web of Science Core Collection, from January 2000 to June 2023, using the following terms: "patient education", "patient counselling", "patient teaching", "patient engaging", "patient empowerment", "health education", "spondyloarthritis", "spondyloarthropaties", "spondylitis" and "ankylosing spondylitis".

Purpose Of Review: The rhomboid intercostal and subserratus plane (RISS) block is an effective, safer alternative for managing postoperative acute pain following abdominal surgeries. The RISS block offers several advantages over traditional approaches, including reduced incidence of puncture-related complications, lower rates of systemic opioid consumption, and more consistent analgesic coverage of lower thoracic dermatomes.

Recent Findings: Despite a favorable safety profile, the RISS block carries potential risks, such as pneumothorax and local anesthetic systemic toxicity, particularly when long-acting anesthetics such as bupivacaine or ropivacaine are used.

Integration of DNA-Decorated Hapten in Emergency Immunoassays for Antibody and Small-Molecule Detection: A Review.

DNA-decorated hapten (DDH)-based immunoassays have emerged, demonstrating supreme advantages in sensing applications because of their excellent sensitivity, specificity, and reliability. DDH combines both a recognition element (hapten) and a signal transduction element (DNA portion) with its highly programmable DNA structure enabling the trigger of signal transduction following a recognition event, thereby introducing a novel signal transduction mechanism to immunoassays. In this review, we provide a critical overview of recent research in the DDH-based immunoassays, which are designed to detect specific small molecules and antibodies.

Genomic projections of (mal)adaptation under future climate change, known as genomic offset, faces limited application due to challenges in validating model predictions. Individuals inhabiting regions with high genomic offset are expected to experience increased levels of physiological stress as a result of climate change, but documenting such stress can be challenging in systems where experimental manipulations are not possible. One increasingly common method for documenting physiological costs associated with stress in individuals is to measure the relative length of telomeres-the repetitive regions on the caps of chromosomes that are known to shorten at faster rates in more adverse conditions.

Background: Chronic respiratory diseases are important causes of disability and mortality globally. Their incidence may be higher in remote locations where healthcare is limited and risk factors, such as smoking and indoor air pollution, are more prevalent. E-health could overcome some healthcare access obstacles in remote locations, but its utilisation has been limited.
