A double-hyperfragment event has been found in a hybrid-emulsion experiment. It is identified uniquely as the sequential decay of ( 6)(LambdaLambda)He emitted from a Xi(-) hyperon nuclear capture at rest. The mass of ( 6)(LambdaLambda)He and the Lambda-Lambda interaction energy DeltaB(LambdaLambda) have been measured for the first time devoid of the ambiguities due to the possibilities of excited states. The value of DeltaB(LambdaLambda) is 1.01+/-0.20(+0.18)(-0.11) MeV. This demonstrates that the Lambda-Lambda interaction is weakly attractive.

Viral DNA packaging is a required step in the assembly of many dsDNA viruses. A molecular motor fueled by ATP hydrolysis packages the viral genome to near crystalline density inside a pre-formed prohead shell in ~5 min at room temperature in vitro. We describe procedures for measuring the packaging of single DNA molecules into single viral proheads with optical tweezers.

The strategies for demixing and sorting mixed-chirality particles are crucial in the biochemical and pharmaceutical industries. However, whether chiral mixed particles can effectively separate in more complex spatial environments remains unresolved. In this paper, we explore the collective motion of binary chiral particle mixtures with environmental complex noise in the binary chiral Vicsek model (BCVM).

This Letter presents results from a combination of searches for Higgs boson pair production using 126-140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data at sqrt[s]=13 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector. At 95% confidence level (CL), the upper limit on the production rate is 2.9 times the standard model (SM) prediction, with an expected limit of 2.

Using (10.087±0.044)×10^{9} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring, the processes Λp→Λp and Λ[over ¯]p→Λ[over ¯]p are studied, where the Λ/Λ[over ¯] baryons are produced in the process J/ψ→ΛΛ[over ¯] and the protons are the hydrogen nuclei in the cooling oil of the beam pipe.
