One of the ways to uncover the nature of the microwave magnetoelectric (ME) effect, recently observed in small ferrite resonators with special-form surface metallizations, is a comparative analysis of oscillating spectrums excited by different type rf external fields. Experimental results of the ME coupling in different types of ferrite resonators and different types of surface electrodes are reported and some important conclusions are drawn observing the oscillating spectrums of those particles. A special interest in spectral properties of point ME particles should be found in the field of microwave artificial composite materials-bianisotropic materials.

Introduction: Multitasking during flights leads to a high mental workload, which is detrimental for maintaining task performance. Electroencephalography (EEG) power spectral analysis based on frequency-band oscillations and microstate analysis based on global brain network activation can be used to evaluate mental workload. This study explored the effects of a high mental workload during simulated flight multitasking on EEG frequency-band power and microstate parameters.

The spectra of internal friction and temperature dependencies of the frequency of a free-damped oscillation process excited in the specimens of an amorphous-crystalline copolymer of polyoxymethylene with the co-monomer trioxane (POM-C) with a degree of crystallinity ~60% in the temperature range from -150 °C to +170 °C has been studied. It has been established that the spectra of internal friction show five local dissipative processes of varying intensity, manifested in different temperature ranges of the spectrum. An anomalous decrease in the frequency of the oscillatory process was detected in the temperature ranges where the most intense dissipative losses appear on the spectrum of internal friction.

Resting-state EEG measures have shown potential in distinguishing individuals with PTSD from healthy controls. ERP components such as N2, P3, and late positive potential have been consistently linked to cognitive abnormalities in PTSD, especially in tasks involving emotional or trauma-related stimuli. However, meta-analyses have reported inconsistent findings.

Purpose: This work aims at investigating, via in-silico evaluations, the noise properties of an innovative scanning geometry in cone-beam CT (CBCT): eCT. This scanning geometry substitutes each of the projections in CBCT with a series of collimated projections acquired over an oscillating scanning trajectory. The analysis focused on the impact of the number of the projections per period (PP) on the noise characteristics.

Fano resonance is achieved by tuning two coupled oscillators and has exceptional potential for modulating light dispersion. Here, distinct from the classical Fano resonances achieved through photonics methodologies, we introduce the Fano resonance in epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) media with novel electromagnetic properties. By adjusting the background permeability of the ENZ host, the transmission spectrum exhibits various dispersive line shapes and covers the full range of Fano parameter q morphologies, from negative to positive infinity.
