The corn milling industry has widely accepted the presence of bright greenish-yellow fluorescence under a black light as a presumptive indicator of aflatoxin (a poison produced by the mold Aspergillus flavus). This test was applied to wheat, oats, barley, rice, coconut, white corn, yellow corn, peanuts, sorghum, and soybeans, and evaluated in the laboratory. Our study supported the use of bright greenish-yellow fluorescence as a presumptive test for aflatoxin in wheat, oats, barley, corn, and sorghum.

Copper nanoclusters exhibit unique structural features and their molecular assembly results in diverse photoluminescence properties. In this study, we present ligand-dependent multicolor luminescence observed in a Cu cluster, primarily protected by -carborane-9,12-dithiol (-CBDT), featuring an octahedral Cu inner kernel enveloped by eight isolated copper atoms. The outer layer of the metal kernel consists of six bidentate -CBDT ligands, in which carborane backbones are connected through μ-sulphide linkages.

Dipyrrolonaphthyridinediones (DPNDs) entered the chemical world in 2016. Forensic pathologists empirically understand that postmortem changes can decrease serum transparency and change its color. Such changes are potential indicators for estimating postmortem intervals; however, reports on color changes focusing on postmortem changes in serum are scarce.
