Introduction: Depression is the most common co-morbid psychiatric disorder in patients with schizophrenia and has a negative effect on functional outcomes and quality of life. There are several possible pathways leading to depressive symptoms in schizophrenia. Self-disorders are disturbances in the deepest, pre-reflective level of the self and are suggested to be core features of schizophrenia.

In the GWAS model, thresholding is common strategy to indicate deviation of expected range of -(s), and it can be used to find the distribution of true positive associations under or over of test statistics. Therefore, the threshold plays a critical role to identify reliable and significant associations in wide genome, while the proportion of false positive results is relatively low.

Background: Amongst all neoplastic diseases, breast cancer represents a major cause of death among the female population in developed and developing countries. Since alkaloid drugs are commonly used in chemotherapy to manage this disease, this study investigated the anti-proliferative effectiveness of alkaloid-rich fractions of Senna didymobotrya leaves only and with laser irradiation against MCF-7 breast cancer cells.
Method And Materials: A powdered sample of the plant leaves was extracted with 50% ethanol, filtered and their pH was adjusted with acid and base solution followed by partitioning with chloroform and ethyl acetate solvents.

Managing mine water in the best possible way is of great importance and depends on various factors like environmental protection, regulatory compliance and human health. To understand the complex chemical and hydrodynamic processes within the mine pool, it is critical to establish effective practices and management strategies. This study focuses on the characterisation of hydrodynamic processes affecting flooded underground mines, emphasising the importance of density stratification.

Background: Limb-salvage surgery for malignant bone tumors can be associated with considerable perioperative blood loss. The aim of this randomized controlled trial was to assess the safety and efficacy of the intraoperative infusion of tranexamic acid (TXA) in children and adolescents undergoing limb-salvage surgery.
Methods: All participants were <18 years of age at the time of surgery and diagnosed with a malignant bone tumor of the femur that was treated with resection and reconstruction with a megaprosthesis.
