The liver is a highly regenerative organ capable of significant proliferation and remodeling during homeostasis and injury responses. Experiments of nature in rare genetic diseases have illustrated that healthy hepatocytes may have a selective advantage, outcompete diseased cells, and result in extensive liver replacement. This observation has given rise to the concept of therapeutic liver repopulation by providing an engineered selective advantage to a subpopulation of beneficial hepatocytes.

The evolution of human behaviour is marked by key decision-making processes reflected in technological variability in the early archaeological record. As part of the technological system, differences in raw material quality directly affect the way that humans produce, design and use stone tools. The selection, procurement and use of various raw materials requires decision-making to evaluate multiple factors such as suitability to produce and design tools, but also the materials' efficiency and durability in performing a given task.

Caenorhabditis elegans proliferates poorly in the presence of abundant Actinobacteria from its natural ecology, but it is unknown why. Here, we show how perturbed levels of hydrogen sulfide modulate the growth rate of both C. elegans and Actinobacteria.

Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) is a major challenge in drug development, often leading to clinical trial failures and market withdrawals due to liver toxicity. This study presents StackDILI, a computational framework designed to accelerate toxicity assessment by predicting DILI risk. StackDILI integrates multiple molecular descriptors to extract structural and physicochemical features, including the constitution, pharmacophore, MACCS, and E-state descriptors.

Networked evolutionary game theory is a well-established framework for modeling the evolution of social behavior in structured populations. Most of the existing studies in this field have focused on 2-strategy games on heterogeneous networks or n-strategy games on regular networks. In this paper, we consider n-strategy games on arbitrary networks under the pairwise comparison updating rule.
