Background: Mental health disorders are one of the leading causes of illness globally. The importance of psychosocial skills acquired in early childhood, such as executive functions, inhibitory control, emotional regulation, and social problem-solving, in preventing mental disorders has been reported. Furthermore, mental health care delivery is evolving, and mobile technology is becoming the medium for assessment and intervention.

Background: A large number of older people depend on others for help with their daily personal care, including oral health care. Nursing home and elder-care staff often face challenges identifying older people, who are exposed to or at an increased risk of oral diseases. Thus, the aim of this study was to identify risk factors that non-dental care staff can use to identify older people at risk of oral diseases and poor oral hygiene.

Objectives: In children admitted after an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA), this study 1) determines the proportion that undergo: physical abuse and toxin exposure evaluation, child protection team (CPT) consultation, and child protective services (CPS) referral, and 2) evaluates the association between demographic, social, clinical characteristics with CPT consultation and CPS referral.
Methods: Retrospective chart review was conducted of children < 4 years old admitted following an OHCA between November 2012 and February 2023. Associations between demographics, caregiver social risk factors, and clinical characteristics with CPT consultation and CPS referral were examined using logistic regression.

Background: Menstrual poverty remains a significant health problem among female learners in Zambia, particularly due to the lack of access to menstrual products, leading to the use of unsafe alternatives and potential health risks such as reproductive tract infections. To address this pressing issue, this study examined the disparities in knowledge, attitudes, and practices concerning menstrual poverty among female learners in both urban and rural government schools within Zambia.
Methods: The study utilized a mixed-method sequential explanatory design, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches.
