This comment responds to an article by Range and Cotton (1995) on reporting of parental permission and child assent procedures in published articles for 4 psychology journals. Issue is taken with the assumptions, methodology, interpretations, and implications of listing researchers in the Range and Cotton article. There is no evidence researchers failed in their ethical obligations or that children were put at risk. Reporting permission/assent in publications is not an ethical requirement. Listing researchers as "failing" to do something not part of an ethical code is lamentable. Too many unfortunate implications and problems can be derived from Range and Cotton's analysis and conclusions.

Most people with a psychotic illness will never be violent; however, it is widely known that violence is more prevalent in this group compared to the general community, particularly during first-episode psychosis (FEP). Despite this, there is limited research into what contributes to this increased risk during FEP. The present systematic review aimed to identify whether certain risk factors are differentially associated with severity and timing of violence perpetration during FEP.

Introduction: Crop yields in food and fibre production systems throughout the world are significantly limited by soil water deficits. Identifying water conservation mechanisms within existing genotypes is pivotal in developing varieties with improved performance in water-limited conditions. The objective of this study was to screen Australian germplasm for variability in the transpiration response to progressive soil drying using a glasshouse dry-down experiment.

Despite recent advances in understanding the connection between the gut microbiota and the adult brain, significant knowledge gaps remain regarding how gut inflammation affects brain development. We hypothesized that gut inflammation during early life would negatively affect neurodevelopment by disrupting microbiota communication to the brain. We therefore developed a novel pediatric chemical model of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), an incurable condition affecting millions of people worldwide.

Objective: To evaluate quality of life, migraine disability, and work productivity and activity impairment in patients with migraine who received preventive treatment by comparing standard of care preventive medications and calcitonin gene-related monoclonal antibodies (CGRP mAbs), including galcanezumab alone.
Methods: This cross-sectional study conducted across the United States (US) and Europe used data from the Adelphi Migraine Disease Specific Programme. Physicians completed record forms for consecutive patients, who then completed self-report forms assessing patient-reported outcomes (PROs) such as quality of life, migraine disability, and work productivity and activity impairment.
