To study the neuronal protective effect and its potential mechanism of C16 against gp120-induced cognitive impairment in vitro and in vivo. The NORT method was used to evaluate the short-term memory abilities of rats, the morphological changes in hippocampus were observed by Nissl staining. Cell viability and damage degree were detected by MTT and LDH.

Background: Gaining insight into the emotional consequences of disclosing amyloid Positron Emission Tomography (PET) results is essential for offering effective support to patients of varying cognitive status. This analysis aimed to examine variations in emotional distress levels following the disclosure of amyloid PET results among participants that are cognitively normal, with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), or dementia.
Method: This investigation was a preliminary analysis of 55 participants, using 1-month follow-up call data of an ongoing brain imaging data repository study, obtaining baseline PET imaging on a subset of Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) participants.

Background: Gait performance has been found to be an effective method for screening cognitive impairment in elderly. Nevertheless, the efficacy of utilizing gait speed as a marker for monitoring cognitive changes remains incompletely substantiated.
Method: From 2021 to 2023, we recruited 104 participants from the memory clinic of Cardinal Tien Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan.

Background: Mild behavioral impairment (MBI) is associated with all-cause dementia. Little is known about MBI's effects on cognitive function among individuals in earlier disease stages, particularly in racially diverse samples. We examined relationships between MBI and cognitive decline in a richly characterized sample of white and African American (AA) older-middle aged adults.
