Purpose: Somatostatin receptor (SSTR)-PET is crucial for effective treatment stratification of neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs). In highly proliferating or poorly differentiated NENs, dual-tracer approaches using additional [F]FDG PET can effectively identify SSTR-negative disease, usually requiring separate imaging sessions. We evaluated the feasibility of a one-day dual-tracer imaging protocol with a low activity [F]FDG PET followed by an SSTR-PET using the recently introduced [F]SiFAlin-TATE tracer in a long axial field-of-view (LAFOV) PET/CT scanner and its implications in patient management.

Due to the association with the causal human papillomavirus 16 (HPV16) infection, oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma is now separated into two distinct entities depending on HPV16 positivity. More recent data show a diversified picture of the importance and prevalence of the surrogate parameter p16 (discordance) for a definitive HPV16 association, which varies worldwide. In the context of preventive options, vaccination is of major importance and HPV screening of healthy people of less importance.

Background: Isokinetic dynamometry is a common tool for evaluating muscle function and is used across various disciplines. Technical advancements have shifted focus towards multi-joint exercises such as the leg press, offering insights into practical human movement dynamics. However, previous reproducibility studies have focused predominantly on single-joint exercises, warranting investigations into the reliability of multi-joint exercises.

Pain around the first ray of the hand, particularly in the thumb area, is a frequent clinical problem that can have various causes. This article explores the most important differential diagnoses, including thumb carpometacarpal (CMC-I) osteoarthritis (rhizarthrosis), de Quervain's stenosing tenosynovitis, carpal tunnel syndrome and Wartenberg's syndrome. A detailed medical history, targeted clinical examination and if necessary the use of modern imaging techniques are crucial for making the diagnosis.

Like humans and many other animal species, birds exhibit left-right asymmetries in certain behaviours due to differences in hemispheric brain functions. While the lateralization of sensory and motor functions is well established in birds, the potential lateralization of high-level executive control functions, such as volitional attention, remains unknown. Here, we demonstrate that carrion crows exhibit more pronounced volitional (endogenous) attention for stimuli monocularly viewed with the left eye and thus in the left visual hemifield.
