Background: The prompt and accurate identification of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is crucial for preventing its progression into more severe neurodegenerative diseases. However, current diagnostic solutions, such as biomarkers and cognitive screening tests, prove costly, time-consuming, and invasive, hindering patient compliance and the accessibility of these tests. Therefore, exploring a more cost-effective, efficient, and noninvasive method to aid clinicians in detecting MCI is necessary.

Ischemic stroke (IS), a cerebrovascular condition, is commonly detected by evaluating carotid intima-media (CIA) stenosis. Symptomatic CIA stenosis carries a high risk (up to 32%) of another ischemic event within 12 weeks, while asymptomatic CIA stenosis has an annual risk ranging from 1% to 2%. Therefore, this study aims to explore the diagnostic value of clinical features and carotid plaque characteristics in both symptomatic and asymptomatic IS.

This editorial highlights a recently published study examining the effectiveness of music therapy combined with motivational interviewing (MI) in addressing anxiety and depression among young and middle-aged patients following percutaneous coronary intervention. It further explores existing evidence and potential future research directions for MI in postoperative rehabilitation and chronic disease management. MI aims to facilitate behavioral change and promote healthier lifestyles by fostering a trusting relationship with patients and enhancing intrinsic motivation.

Background: Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common complication in heart failure (HF) patients. Patients with heart failure who experience renal injury tend to have a poor prognosis. This study aimed to evaluate the presentation suitability and readability of ChatGPT's responses to common patient questions, as well as its potential to enhance readability. We initially analyzed 30 ChatGPT responses related to knee osteoarthritis (OA) on March 20, 2023, using readability and presentation suitability metrics. Subsequently, we assessed the impact of detailed and simplified instructions provided to ChatGPT for same responses, focusing on readability improvement.
